Gang-wracked Haiti capital 'systematically' terrorised by sexual violence, MSF warns

Sexual and gender-based violence "is being used systematically to terrorise the population" in Haiti's stricken capital Port-au-Prince, Doctors Without Borders said Thursday in a report based on 10 years of data from its clinic there. The medical charity, which goes by its French acronym MSF, said the number of victims it treated had almost tripled since 2021, warning of a "shocking increase in the brutality of the violence".
