Toward the beginning of last Saturday’s brief rap god reunion, a noble Black woman once again saved me from myself. Or rather, from about nine shots of Espolon and a surge of fanboy euphoria. Moments beforehand, Eminem had emerged from the dark shadows of a Yankee Stadium tunnel to join Jay-Z to perform “Renegade” at HOV’s Blueprint 25th anniversary concert, and I'd unsheathed my iPhone 15 and started filming the moment. Or at least I thought.
