양자컴퓨터 관련 리더보드 허깅페이스에 공개

요즘 신문이며 유튜브며 "양자컴퓨터"라는 말이 끊이지 않습니다. 구글이 앞섰다더라, IBM이 어쩐다더라, 중국이 따라붙었다더라… 그런데 막상 "그래서 누가 제일 잘하는데?" 하고 물으면 아무도 또렷이 답을 못 합니다. 저는 그게 늘 답답했습니다. 그래서 직접, 공정하게 줄을 세워보기로 했습니다. 이 글은 양자컴퓨터를 전혀 몰라도 읽을 수 있게 쓴, 그 이야기입니다. ■ 1. 양자컴퓨터가 대체 뭐가 그렇게 대단한데? 보통 컴퓨터는 모든 것을 0 아니면 1, 둘 중 하나로 처리합니다. 스위치가 꺼짐/켜짐 둘뿐인 셈이죠. 양자컴퓨터의 기본 단위인 '큐비트'는 다릅니다. 0과 1을 동시에 가질 수 있습니다(이걸 '중첩'이라고 합니다). 비유하자면, 보통 컴퓨터는 미로에서 길을 하나씩 차례로 가봅니다. 양자컴퓨터는 갈림길에서 모든 길을 동시에 더듬어 봅니?
